NAVOLLASA 2008

On the occation of “Navollasa 2008” a Cultural talent competition organized by Yuvavahini ®, Surathkal Chapter on 13th January 2008 at Vidyadayini Kala Mandira, Surathkal, BILLAWAS DUBAI & NORTHERN EMIRATES have distributed medical aid to the needy poor patients. The President of Billawas Dubai Shri. Umesh Kuckian, Media Coordinator Shri. Sujay Bendoor and Smt. Prasanna Umesh were present on the occation.

Shri. Umesh Kuckian in his address explained the commitment of Billawas Dubai to the society by helping the poor students by providing scholarships for their studies. He explained that the Billavas Dubai had distributed Rs. 3 Lac amount to the needy students during the last programme organized at Shri. Gokarnanatha Temple, Kudroli with the presence of Shri. Janardhana Poojary (M.P) & Shri. Jaya C. Suvarna.

Mr. Kuckian expreseed his happiness over Yuvavahini in identifying the poor students for scholarships by the personal visit to students houses for studying their family background and financial conditions.

The beneficiaries of the medical aid in the function were, Rs. 25,000/- given to Smt. Bhavani, whose son was severely injured in the road accident. Rs. 20,000/- was given to Shri. Ramesh Poojary for his son’s Medical Treatment. One more patient varun’s father Shri. Jeevandas received Rs. 15,000/- for his son’s cancer treatment. A totally blind young girl Ramakku was provided with Rs.15,000/- financial assistance for her further treatment.

Shri. Yogish Kotian of Yuvavahini Surathkal chapter gave the brief account of the Billavas Dubai in the beginning. Shri. Gangadhar K, Convenor of “Navollasa 2008” rendered vote of Thanks. President of Central Council Shri. Raviraj and President of Surathkal Chapter Shri. Jayanth H also present on the occasion.

“Navollasa 2008” a cultural competition conducted by Yuvavahini ®, Surathkal Chapter which was inaugurated by Shri. Sudharshan H, President of Kadekar Billava Sangha, Udupi. Total 10 Chapters of Yuvavahini were participated in the competition. Each team has given 20 minutes time & during this 20 minutes time chapters has to show their talents in the state. Variety of events, entertainments were presented on the stage & it was really very difficulty to judge the winners. This function was provided chance to members of yuvavahini to show their hidden talents on the stage.

During the Closing Ceremony Shri. Raviraj Kumar, President Yuvavahini®, Central Council, Shri. Chandrashekar Nanil, President Shri Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava Samiti, Haleangadi and Shri. Shekar Amin Jokatte, PWD Contractor was the chief guests. On the occation the New committee for Yuvavahini®, Surathkal chapter for the year 2008 was taken oath. Shri. Seetharam H was elected as new president of Yuvavahini ®, Surathkal Chapter.

Yuvavahini ®, Mulki Chapter got the First Place in this competition, whereas 2nd prize won by Yuvavahini®, Mangalore women’s chapter. 3rd Prize won by Yuvavahini®, Sasihithlu chapter.
